Jailynn received her PhD in Genetics from the University of Pennsylvania. Inspired by all aspects of 3-D genome organization, she’s focused on understanding how features change over time and how they relate to gene expression. When not in the lab, you can find her at a Crossfit gym or enjoying a long walk in the woods with her two dogs.

Siewert is a postdoctoral researcher with an interest in chemometrics and data analysis. He focuses on the development of new analysis methods for multivariate spectroscopy and super-resolution microscopy. Siewert obtained a B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree in chemical engineering in Belgium and then did an M.Sc. and Ph.D. at the University of Lille in France. Outside of the lab, he enjoys long walks, exploring cities and $1.50 Costco hotdogs.

Marcus Woodworth got his Ph.D. in Chemistry at the University of Washington. He is deeply interested in the mechanisms that connect genome structure with gene regulation, and is therefore focused on developing new methods to visualize the interplay between chromatin features. Outside of the lab, he enjoys exploring new areas, creating fictional worlds, board games, puzzles, and playing music.

Charlie received his PhD from the Cell and Molecular Biology Graduate Group at Penn working in the Lakadamyali lab, where he is now a postdoctoral fellow. He is interested in understanding mitochondrial transport and lysosome heterogeneity in neuronal processes as it relates to the health of a neuron and becomes disrupted during neurodegeneration. He is also working to implement increased multiplexing super-res capabilities in the lab using DNA-PAINT. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, College Park. Outside his academic interests, Charlie enjoys yoga and trying out new food from one of the many great restaurants in Philly.

Patty is a PhD Candidate in the Cellular and Molecular Biology (CAMB) graduate group. Their work is focused around quantitative technique development for single molecule localization microscopy (SMLM) modalities like STORM. They have a broad interest in protein misfolding and aggregation, especially those proteins that contribute to neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. They received their bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Seattle University in Washington State. Outside of the lab, Patty enjoys playing video games, reading fanfiction, and making cute things like pins and stuffed animals.
